Kimbo Slice vs Tank Abbott

First saw Kimbo Slice over on MoneyTalks.com beating up on street punks and acting as body guard/security on shoots. Little did I know of the Kimbo phenomenon permeating across the net. There's no amount of money that would get me to do this.

Kimbo Charlie Horse-

Kimbo Football Tackle

Kimbo has arrived in the UFC and is fueding with verteran fighter Tank Abbott. The promo vid shows Kimbo's willingness to deal out some street justice. This is a man who wants to leave his mark on the UFC in as many ways as possible. While Abbott is being extremely cocky and self confident. "Big Dogs" indeed. Your reputation is only as good as you keep it. Here Abbott assumes he's seen it all. Will he be the bully or get schooled??

Watch the promo-

From what little I've seen of Tank Abbott in years gone by, he's the real deal. A brawling powerhouse with fist like hammers of steel. Most opponents never lasted more than a few minutes at best.

Watch the fight-

Tank never stood a chance. Maybe in his prime but not now. Who's next??

New camera

I went out and stimulated the economy to the sum of about $500 last Friday and purchased a new camcorder with hard drive. So the green screen is very close. Just got to put the pieces together and reload the software on the old 'puter and we're in business.

I'll post a review after the new toy gets field tested.

Slow week hopefully

Last week I was on the road almost everyday. It was so hectic and busy with the launch of our new campaign that I had put in at least 20 hours by monday night alone.

Took Josh to Saturday's Market in Middletown yesterday for some male bonding. Then I just took it easy for the rest of the day. Eric and I watched most of the first season of Stargate Atlantis.

Got some more work done on the basement today. It's not really a slow process. Getting the motivation to do it is the problem.

Police Brutality to a new level- PT2

Let's start with a follow up on the Baltimore skateboard cop, Salvatore Rivieri.

Another video has surfaced of a verbal confrontation between the officer and a visiting artist to the Inner Harbor area of Baltimore. This clearly shows a pattern of hostile confrontations on the part of the officer.

Click the image to play the video.

In regards to the paraplegic man who was dumped from his wheelchair during booking, the deputy has been charged and arrested.

The charge is only for felony abuse of a disabled person. Both the officer who committed the crime and any supervisors in the room, who failed to report the incident, need to be held accountable for civil rights violations. In reviewing the video you will find that the two females handling the victim along with the male and female officers in the back all appear to be black. Not one word in any news reports allude to race or this being a potential black-on-white hate crime. However if it was four whites nonchalantly abusing a disabled black the whole city of Tampa would be descended upon by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the Black Panthers.

No. This race crime will clearly be swept under the rug. Hate crimes are never committed "on" but rather only committed "by" caucasian males.

New Puppy

Well it happened. We broke down and bought our third dog within less than a year. Yesterday we brought home Reagan, a full breed beagle. Pictures to follow.

Police Brutality to a new level-

I say brutality because stupidity is just a an excuse that would explain their actions. The "above the law" attitudes of people with a badges is abundant in the first video and the "protect your brother" mentality is on display in the second video.

The Local write up is here.

Florida Police Dump Quadriplegic Man From His Wheelchair

There is a slim chance that some cop defenders will say the officer may have been in danger from a 14 yr old skateboarder and took strong actions. That's a shitty defense that will be used by some in justifying the cop's actions. However one that in no way can be applied to the paralyzed man.

The fact that no police reports were filed by any of the four officers in the room is astounding. The victim ended up with two broken ribs.

There is no mention of black on white police brutality here either unlike in the Rodney King case. While King was severely beaten and had his civil rights violated Sterne had his civil rights violated as well. In some ways this is much worse than with King. King's actions brought on the conflict with police who then got carried away and went way to far in apprehending him. Here the victim is physically unable of starting a conflict or of defending himself. If it's not this then it's Taser abuse.

SICKENING

Long day-

I visited four of our offices in the Reading PA area today. These offices just became part of my territory recemtly and it was exciting to visit and meet new people today. Having said that I also discovered an extraordinary amount of unfinished work that needs done. Good Times.

I was supposed to travel to the Trenton NJ area this evening for a late nite training seminar but that got cancelled. Good thing too as we are supposed to get snow and freezing rain here tomorrow. I would've ended up driving right into it on the way home. Good Times.

Oh Yeahhhh-

This is what happens when Hollywood writers go on strike !!

It was fun doing cookies for the first 30 minutes.

www.witlessprotectionmovie.com

Let's see-

If you had a choice would you go to see either Larry the Cable Guy or Tom Cruise (Lions For Lambs) at the box office??

Well since both flicks have shitty actors and no script I'm gonna go with the one that makes me laugh. Only one will admit to the shit problem.

We all need a good fart joke every now and then.

Exit Note- Lions For Lambs starred Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, and Tom Cruise. With an all star cast it grossed a whopping 15 million dollars.

Hell that didn't even cover the movies' carbon offsets -

Mitt's out-

Well it had to happen. You know he would've made a good President. I think he's truly conservative at heart. He's also smart enough to see the writing on the wall and give up his quest when the odds are against him. Unlike Al Gore.

He's just supposedly suspending his campaign. Which means he will be back in four years. Hopefully with a more conservative resume. So much for me having to change back to the Republican Party for the PA primaries. I'm still going to vote for Mitt if his name is on the ballot just to send an F--- Y-- to McCain.

Working Man Blues again-

Less than two days back from vacation and I'm already taking work home again. Every quarter I'm required to deliver a presentation to the sales managers I support. Having just given a presentation a week ago to a non-management group it seemed like an easy outline to work with. Well it turned out to be a bigger project than first estimation. Primarily because I was multi tasking at the same time and drooling over Rachel Starr's backside. What a wonderful view.

The presentation was to a much smaller group today than two weeks ago but it was a tougher crowd. These people will eat you up and spit you out if they sense weakness. They live and breathe numbers and if it doesn't make money for them they don't want any part of it. No matter what the business there is always more than just the sale to consider. How we package the product needs to be just as important. With out elaborating on boring details, the lead manager bought my proposal and it will go forward. Now to implement the program and to continually re-sell it to every lower sales manager daily. My work is just beginning. Now to repackage this presentation for my second management group on Thursday. Public speaking is getting easier, not by much though.

Vacation is winding down-

What takes forever to get here and is gone befor you know it??

Tha't right- Vacation.

Lori and I both took some much deserved and needed time off last week. Our lives are so hectic due to work and family. We both easily work on average over 50 hours a week per person and that's just for the paychecks alone. Also having time to spend with each other, the children, and the immediate family was refreshing.

I started a new book over the weekend and it is engrossing. Just a spur of the moment purchase at Barnes & Noble. The book is called The Sky People by S.M. Stirling. When reading this book it's like a flashback to the sci-fi world of Edgar Rice Burroughs that I enjoyed in my youth. I will post a full review upon completion of the novel.

We completed hanging about 95% of the dry wall in the basement family room and the staircase to downstairs. Lori is becoming quite the putty master, or "shmushing" as she calls it. Even to the point of getting sick yesterday from the dust. Hopefully most of the putty and trim work will be done in a couple of weeks. We owe a special thank you to Lori's brother, Steve, for taking time out of his busy schedule on both Saturday and Sunday to help out.

Perhaps the hardest person on a computer in the Abbott family bar none is Katelyn. Having almost killed two of our six computers she has now been dubbed "The Laptop Killer". It took me almost two hours Friday night to reformat Lori's laptop after Katie's last reign of terror. If there's a soap opera site out there with hidden malware in the page script it's a guarantee our daughter will find it. Word of advise Kate...Buy a Dell as it has lifetime tech support by phone. You're going to need it in college.

As most of America is drooling over a phenomenon called the Super Bowl, to include Lori, I will sit here in my computer room and enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts. Tomorrow will bring the dreaded water cooler talk of why the game was "the best ever", "sucked", or whatever other opinions people will have. This combined with all of the other armchair quarterbacking will make about as much sense to me as a menu written in Spainish.

The Basement

BSTV is back-

The video quality is crappy due to the continual readjustment of the auto focus. Usually the digital camera does well for video. With all of the motion a camcorder may be better. Will have to experiment. However the point is made.

Enjoy-
