This week my son, Eric, and I started playing a new game. It's a real time strategy game called Age of Empires. We started with the first game of AOE and likeed it so much we had to pick up AOE 2. In AOE, you build your own country and try to make an Empire. We will blog more about this later in the week.

Successful Dieting...
Last August (2006) I went to the Dr for a physical. The first in years. I found out my cholesterol was around 250, way to high. The Doc wanted me to lose weight as well. After being out of shape for many years, this was a big challenge.
I weighed in at 192 lbs. and the Doc wanted me down to 175lbs. Wifey put me on a strict diet. I went back to see the Doc in early October for a follow-up. I was down to 173lbs. A 19 pound drop. It was amazing and re-warding to see the look on the nurse who operated the scale. The Doc was surprised as well.
My reward was a new goal of 165 lbs. I have hit that target and beat it by five pounds. Not really sure what the ideal wight is for being 5'8" but I'll take what I can.
This all due to following Wifey's common sense approach to eating. many of you have asked for a the diet info she put me on. Here is a sample she put together. hopefully it will help you as well. I have given up almost all fast foods. subway is my treat. I was surprised by what I could enjoy in moderation. E-mail me with any questions and I'll forward them on to her...

Justice Society of America
The new issue of JSA just came out last week. After two issues, I'm stoked about this series. Especially the upcoming Justice Society/Justice League cross-over. I think I will wait until after the first arc before I do a full analasys and commentary for you.

I would like to thank all those who have dropped by for a visit and those who have returned regularly. There have been some changes...the new layout, the background music (Music can be stopped using the controls under the right sidebar).

There are many things I want to share with you. I intend to continue with the vidblogging. Once every week or so will be the goal, depending on what's in the news. As many of you know, I have been on a diet since September 2006. Successfully losing approx. 30 pounds. I have been trying to get Wifey to put something together to explain the diet she has had me on. So be on the look out for those updates.
Our youngest son has had transitional issues with going from elementary to middle schools. As a result, we have decided to home school next year. This is a totally new area for us. As of now, we are researching the process. We will keep you updated on this exciting journey.
